Team India put on another impressive performance on Thursday to round off the good white-ball season in South Africa. After drawing 1-1 with the team from home in the tri-match T20I series in Johannesburg, the KL Rahul-led side from India, with a lack of players, such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah, was able to defeat South Africa, who had at least six players from the World Cup squad, winning with a score of 2-1. Sanju Samson scored his maiden international century eight years after the day he made his debut. Then, Arshdeep Singh continued his spectacular performance during the game with a 4-wicket haul when the Men in Blue won the final match by 78 runs at Boland Park in Paarl. Rahul is the second Indian captain in the history of India to win the ODI series victory at the hands of South Africa after Kohli.

In addition to Samson’s impressive knock and Arshdeep’s bowling skills, a second incident of the third ODI match was a viral hit on social media. It occurred during the second innings in which South Africa all-rounder Keshav Maharaj was called in to bat, and the team from home reeled with 6 for 177 overs in 33.2 overs.

When Maharaj was taken off security, the speakers in Boland Park began playing the track ‘Ram Siyaram’. As the wicketkeeper during the third ODI, Rahu informed Maharaj that it is performed every time he enters the bat. Maharaj was able to agree with a “yes and Rahul was smiling.

In the first innings, India lost debutant Rajat Patidar and Sai Suryasna in the powerplay following the initial couple who scored just 34 runs. Samson followed with a fifty-run alliance with the skipper KL Rahul. He then forged a 116-run partnership with young Tilak Varma. In the process, the duo smashed the first ODI century he had long awaited. Samson’s performance took India down to 296-8 within 50 overs.
